Now that they’ve reached the 10 month mark, your baby’s probably learning all sorts of new skills – like cruising/toddling! Because they may also be learning that their new teeth can be used for chewing things, it shows that they’re ready to learn about this final stage of the weaning process – and to say goodbye to the bottle!

Do!
- Continue with your three main meals a day, and add 1-2 snacks.
- Place your baby's high chair around the dinner table when eating with the rest of the family.
- Introduce minced or finely chopped foods to baby.
- Set a good example to baby by eating healthy meals and snacks.
- Encourage your baby to begin to stop drinking from the bottle.
- From one year a beaker should be used.
Don't!
- Feed your baby processed foods which are high in salt.
- Feed your baby low fat dairy products - babies need more fat in their diet than adults.
- Give your baby cows' milk as their main milk drink until the age of one year.
- Give your baby fruit squash, fizzy drinks or soda.
- Give whole or chopped nuts until the age of 5 years due to choking risk.
